Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 8:35 am by Dianne Tillman, President.  Devotions were shared by Dianne. 

Correspondence: Presented by Dianne.

1. Interchange- Everyone is receiving
2. E-mail from Linda Post Bushkofsky re: El Camino Pines withdrawal from ELCA-Linda is inviting them to continue being a part of WELCA
3. Terri Lackey, managing editor of Lutheran Woman Today, will be present at Linus Event
4. Haiti Disaster Relief can be run through WELCA

Devotions: Darlene Love presented a devotion. 

President’s Report: Dianne presented an oral report.

1. Lillian Simons moved for the adoption of the agenda and to allow the president flexibility to insure the timely conduction of business.  Motion seconded and carried.
2. Region 2 SWO Board training event – summer 2010 still on hold awaiting to see if we get Thrivent funds.
3. Mia McNulty, Community Lutheran Church.  There has been no further communications
4. Desta Goehner- $200.00 has been sent to her from our funds.
5. LYO Rep. is still being working on
6. Code of Conduct has not gotten to work on

Vice Presidents Report: Presented by Dianne

Lillian is working on event for Foothill – would like a facilitator on healing – will be Luther Glen – Friday night/Saturday – Resources on line, WELCA 

Secretary’s Report: Cathy Fritsinger presented the minutes of the November 21, 2009 board meeting.  Cathy did the morning minutes and Joan Cressman did the afternoon minutes. 

Corrections were made to both sets of minutes. 

Dianne moved the acceptance of the November 21, 2009 minutes as corrected and amended.  Motion was seconded and carried. 

Treasurer’s Report: Rosemary Lawson presented written reports

1. Written reports dated November and December, 2009
2. Need to payout $956.00 – that will leave us about $2,000.00 to work with
3. We have received 6 registrations for the Linus Event
4. mileage went down to 50 cents per mile
5. more registrations are needed for What’s News

The reports will be filed for audit

1. Convention offering: 50% to Churchwide WELCA and 50% to LSS Ventura (Central Coast).  This offering is to be collected at Sunday worship.  Joan moved.  The motion was seconded and carried.
2. Partnership offering will be collected on Saturday afternoon and goes to defray the cost of the convention
